RIP Paul ‘Skinny’ Kelly

“Skinny passed away on Tuesday. We are all in shock. One of the nicest people you will ever meet, it was alway a pleasure to be in a band with him. He put his bollox into music.

Skinny enjoyed all types of music. He played in bands such as Coitus, the London based punk band, and when he returned back to Dublin he joined a band  called Stagnation with Trevor from Coldwar. After that he started Coldwar with Brayo and Ian Lawless.

Nasher joined soon after. Coldwar toured the states and the UK with this line up - mind you, the smell from Skinny’s feet nearly killedl us. The line up has changed over the years with Trevor, Marty, Eoin and Andy, but Skinny was always there  right up to the end.”

He is survived by his wife Michelle, daughter Jade and son Luke.
Skinny will be missed by all. Love ye Skinny.
RIP
Paul Nash

  107. firstly thanks to paul nash for starting this. What a comfort it has been to his family.Paul’skinny’ was very modist about his popularity and i hope he realised how popular he really was.We know now that paul had 2 families his actaul and his band and fans.It has been a huge shock to us all and he is going to be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.Let’s all remember that contagious laugh, love of comedy, kind nature and his love of music.I bet all that picture skinny now the only thing they see is of him smiling/laughing,just such a kind soul. What a send off he got he’d only be sorry he wasn’t there to join in!his memory will live on in jade and luke and what a credit they are to him.His family are devastated as you can only imagine but such comfort has been taken from the fantastic turn out to send him off and the mutual feelings of love and respect for the kind man we all knew and could only help but love.Brayo was a name i knew since i was a nipper and seeing that scrap book was just fanastic!!thinking of all his mates too as he was like family to you too.As for joe what a great support you have been and farrelly also a kelly household name!!the list could go on.trevor and the bandmates need i say more?love ya paul always will.can’t believe you’re gone but one thing is for sure you’ll never be forgotten.you have a place in so many hearts and there you’ll stay till we meet again.love you always.your proud niece fiona xxx
