Northern Blaze #3 | MI Exclusive Download
Metalireland is a firm supporter of Irish fanzines. This time however, we thought we’d try something new. We’re exclusively distributing the latest Northern Blaze fanzine not via post - but by digital download.
Of course this is no replacement for paper. But often, the overheads of actually getting a zine to print - and then selling it - are too big an ask for the writer. It’s expensive and laborious. It takes away from the kick of writing one in the first place. Few zines last, and that’s the reason. I know: I’ve done it.
Recently Metalireland approached Northern Blaze zine writer Matthew Moore with the idea of publishing the latest instalment of his online.
It’s written and laid out in the time-honoured Xerox zine style. It’s a worthy addition to the Irish zine collection. Offering it online has many advantages. You get it for free - and he gets it to more people.
So download it, read it, save it somewhere safe, and print it if you can. Hopefully it wont be long until his next instalment.

Cool didn’t realise we’re in this. Downloaded there, pretty comprehensive. This interview would be about a year old though, FYI.

That’s timely by most zines’ standards.

good effort, enjoyed having a read through it, reading the interviews with some of the older bands was a good trip down memory lane. Possibly not quite critical enoughat times, two 10/10s in one issue is probably too many, plus some of those releases surely warrant marks below 5, but that is the problem with zines, mark too low and no one sends you any more stuff to review

Very good stuff. the man can actualy write, and alot more accuratly then half the commercial zines going.

Cool zine, good show.
