Metalireland Podcast #5

Brains are brilliant. We said so back in August of 2010 – and since then they’ve gone from strength to strength with their darkened doomy blues.
So it’s a new year in Irish Metal. We kick open its doors with our latest podcast featuring Brains mastermind Karl Lapot AND a killer track from the band.
We’ve got new cuts from Cruciamentum, The Devils Blood and Loincloth.
As well as that we’ve got the heads up on a story that’s been quietly bubbling down in rural Co. Cork. It’s about Days of Night – the killer extreme metal band who’ve taken melodic, Swedish death metal and upgraded it with ferocious speeds and star quality riffs.
They’re so good, they’ve decided to break up and start all over again. Lorcan Archer hears why they’re doing it – on the eve of putting out their fantastic new release. Confused? So were we.

Really love these podcasts, great job. Cant see what all the fuss about “Brains” is for though, boring as hell and deeply unimaginative straight forward rock.

Rocking stuff, Lorcball. Those two new Brains songs are fucking fantastic. A real step up from the already deadly demo in terms of writing and production. If there’s any justic Brains and Wizards will be all the fucking rage this year.
