Mama Said by Lenny Kravitz; not as tuneless as I thought ten years ago.

Dread sovereign - all hells martyrs (2014)

First full length from DS, after the fantastic three track ep 'pray to the devil in man'. Most people here will be familiar enough with them and this release as it's fairly fresh off the belt. It's an album that has revealed itself more and more with each Listn. Highlights for me are 'spear of longinus' and '13 clergy'. Another jewel in van records well studded crown. Get it into ya.

8/10

Good call, I've been preferring this and in particular the Blood Revolt album to Nemty's day job for a while now.

Brutal Truth - Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses

Recently got given a walkman as a present so I threw on some old tapes today. Hadn't listened to this in years and thought it might sound dated but it's still as vicious as fuck. Classic grind.

Testament - The Gathering

Only album of them I bother with, not too gone on their other stuff.
This album is just riffage central, for me not a single bad track on it. One of my favourite albums.

That is actually really interesting sounding. Bit of Manilla Road, that Black Magic album...cool! I wonder if they're in any way active nowadays.

I listened to the latest Shape of Despair this afternoon. Dusk drawing in through the windows...god, but the album's only fuckin' massive sounding.

Exhibit B by Exodus; Rob Dukes impresses live and on record.
