Aghora - s/t

I haven't listened to this in years and, right now, am wondering why. When I discovered this album it was a like a door opening, that the horrible mess of mid-to-late 90s metal was on the way out and good music was coming back. To me, it's practically a gateway album back in to an interest in contemporary metal.

Other thread here reminded me of the 1997 album In Times Before the Light by Covenant, later known as The Kovenant. Have it on now.
A brilliant Black Metal album written by Nagash (Dimmu Borgir) when he was only 16 or 17 I think. The atmosphere in the album is amazing.

Also the next album Nexus Polaris though much different is very special. Has Hellhammer on drums, Sverd from Arcturus (very theatrical...) Sarah Jezebel Deva on female vocals (Cradle of Filth)

Both of them are in my top favourite albums of all time.

Always amazed to find that many people have never heard either...

Wampyrinacht

Originally recorded 95 to early 2000s just released this year. Check out if you like Hellenic black metal with a bit of variety to keep you guessing.

I remember listening to that live on the radio that saturday afternoon in Dundee with a cup of tea and a scooby snack, good times. Orgasmatron cover was class!
