Continuing my re-purchases with:

Death - Human, Symbolic and Leprosy

I'd forgotten just how all over the shop the snare sound on Leprosy is. It varies from song to song. Suppose it was just one of those things that happened back then that ended up adding character to records. 8)

Perversor "Anticosmocrator"

Fucking mental stuff. Dense and furious throughout but my only criticism is the way the lyrics could do with some variation. Banging on about "summoning the ancient ones" is all well and good but in nearly every track?

Also, the lyrics to the last track completely ruin the serious feel. Party metal lyrics in a serious death metal album?

Either way though, it's short, sharp and savage. Great artwork as well...

Did you pick up the Human remix/remaster that came out on Relapse?

I don't normally care for tinkering with albums (especially after the main guy behind it is no longer around!), but it sounds huge. Now my go-to version of the record.

No, specifically went for the CM reissues from '98, the ones I previously had. I avoid remasters if I can. Must check out that new version though if it's getting so much praise

Sacrilege "Behind the Realms of Madness"
Opeth "Orchid" - Still finding new things that I love about it after all these years
Hellbringer "Awakened from the Abyss" - A blatant homage or complete ripoff, very enjoyable either way
