The unreal never lived for me. Their newer albums are good, for me they don't reach the same level as those earlier albums.

(In which Mike asserts that if you give anyone, including hipsters, a hard time because of their look, then you're a jock.)

Given this time to bed in and im loving it. The production is huge! Hes a quality song writer. Matching path to ascend was a tall order but i think he's nailed it.

Jeez this is an epic album from start to finish!! FINALLY picked it up last week and can't stop listening to it. 'Beauty in Falling Leaves' is the standout track for me, followed closely by the title track!
:D

...hmmm after four or five spins I reckon this isn't as amazing as all the reviews and gushing everyone is pouring all over it... yeah beautiful leaves is nice in a not-as-amazing-as Marrow way and the rest of it is decent enough but it's yet to make me think holy shitballs this is like totes amazen

Same boat for the moment. Clearing the Path... and The Great Cessation were much more instantly seductive, got lost in both of them for days and days. Our Raw Heart is a fairly different vibe though, so I'm willing to give it time.
