Interview with vocalist/guitarist and also producer from Horrendous here:

They announced today that mixing and mastering is done. Very interested to see if and in what way they've progressed since the excellent Anareta.

I'd be quite happy with more of the same, frankly. But I have a feeling they'll be pushing the boat out a bit. Didn't realise they had signed up with Season of Mist.

New album to be called Idol, release for 28th September. Preview track "Soothsayer" available to stream here:
http://www.hornsup.fr/a-23085/news/excl ... t-premiere

This track is very similar to stuff off Anareta, with mainly the punchier, funkier bass standing out as taking them into a slightly different overall sound, almost Choy territory in places, though it's only one track so we'll wait and see.

Second track:

I think this album may just be abso-fucking-lutely gorgeous. Retaining all the swagger of Anareta, but now with added slick. The bass playing is just fucking spot on. To quote Beavis & Butthead, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Great song.I've been trying to work out who this reminds me of (besides Deceased) and it clicked this morning - there's a bit of an Afllicted "Prodigal Sun" vibe. No bad thing by any means.
