That’s certainly out of the blue. I’ll definitely be ordering.

Yeah great news. Definitely a blind buy for me as i'm sure it will be for most others as well which is why i'm guessing they haven't released any preview tracks.

I think the quality dipped slightly on the last album but that's only because Salvation is one of the greatest albums ever recorded so it's practically going to be impossible for him to top that.

Not a chance ! I rate maranatha with the best work!! I know everyone harps on(rightfully) about salvation but maranatha is fucking class

A welcome surprise. High hopes. Arioch/Mortuus is wasted in Marduk.

It's leaked. Nothing jumps out to me on the first couple of listens like the way Blessed Curse for example did on the last album. I always disagreed with people who said Funeral Mist sounded like Marduk. But I think this is first Funeral Mist album that sounds very like Marduk especially the way the production is.

It sounds like a very good Marduk album, that's still not saying much since the last few Marduk albums have been boring. The second song reminds me of the blond beast and almost all of the vocals sound like the last Marduk album.

I will wait until it has time to sink in before saying if it's bad or good because it took me a very long time to get into salvation.

Shite, the vinyl seems to have sold out already.

It's NED I would be very surprised if the vinyl doesn't get repressed. They could be just waiting for the current distributors to sell out before making a second pressing.

A few listens in and I'm really enjoying this. I love the way he manages to produce swirling chaos that manages to still cohere as actual songs. My highlight so far is "Cockatrice".

To be honest, apart from the obvious vocal similarities - i.e. it's the same guy, but one with a very distinctive style - I don't think the album is particularly similar to Marduk. The songwriting/riffing is recognisable as the Funeral Mist who released "Salvation" and "Marantha", whereas the riffing in Marduk is always a lot more simple.

In fact, where I think there was overlap between Marduk and F.M. was slower tracks like "Imago Mortis", "The Blond Beast" on the one hand or "Blessed Curse" on the other, but the latest Marduk has nothing like that.

Anyway, two good albums so I'm not complaining.
