Dragging this thread back up from the depths, but finally got the new Rome album and it is sounding very promising on first listen. Possibly a bit more instant than 'Flowers...', but really sounding great.

I found the new Rome rather boring actually, their weakest yet.

Paddy/everyone

What have I been missing out on in the martial/neofolk world? Been an age since I listened to Arditi/Toroidh/Blood Axis but I recently got back some DIJ stuff and have been putting that on quite a bit. Gonna grab that new Rome cd, was a bit of a fan of Berlin.

Just came across a band recently some here may dig, Cult of Youth.

2nd album recently came out on Sacred Bones and it's an absolute stormer, like a fucked up mash of Joy Division, Pogues and DiJ.

Can't believe I haven't posted in this thread. Anyway, check Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat, Sturmpercht and Sangre Cavallum out.

KtAoaBC is especially recommended for anyone who likes Woven Hand.

Only heard the odd track of KtAoaBC, kinda reminded me of Six Organs of Admittance, no bad thing. Vocalist definitely has a DEE vibe about his delivery.
