Aldi/Lidl not my go to places for beer but...

Hobgoblin & Adnam's range - €2.19 in Aldi.

Franzikaner €1.50 in Lidl.

Can't argue with those prices.

Lidl have the Perlenbacher 8 x 500ml (4.9%) bottles back in stock @ €7.29

That's good value and it's a decent auld sup so it is hey!

Not sure if it's the same or not, but the Perlenbacher in the small green bottles actually tastes like piss.

I've never had the small bottles so can't comment.
The 8 pack is grand for drinking during the week. At about 90c a bottle you can't go wrong.

Pints of Guinness in the Thomas House are top notch and not expensive.

I was there a few Saturdays ago and it was sublime. In the afternoon, mind you, not at night.

They sell Beamish in Grogan's these days. Not sure how much it is but it'll be cheaper than their Guinness which is €4.90, I think. I always drink Guinness in there so I'm not sure on the quality of the the Beamy but one lad in there told me it's gorgeous. He looks like a dipso though so this view may need to be tempered somewhat.

There's that gaff O'Reilly's under Tara St. station. They used to do pints @ €3.50 but the quality wasn't on par with any place I frequent.

I picked up a few cans of Festbier in Lidl this evening.
I'm guessing by the name and can design it's in homage to Oktoberfest, friggin delicious stuff!
Seriously good bier with a nice flavour and colour.
I'll be calling in tomorrow for more on my way home from work.
It's €1.50 a 500ml can and 5.5% vol. Sweet!

I actually bought a couple of cans of this on your recommendation, and I know taste is a personal thing, but it was rotten. Still drank it though.

I used to be able to get Newcastle Brown Ale in the Off Licence in the town be they seemed to have stopped doing it so I get a 6 Pack Of Rheinbacher from Aldi, only €7:29 and their pint bottle too. It tastes nice and it's a twist off too which is handy. I find I don't get a hang over with it too which is a nice bonus.
Outside of that I like the odd bottle of Buckfast.
