Of all the DC characters... The Joker does not need an origin story.

I know right? Its one of the foundations of his character, not knowing who he is. Even though they've tried to give him some kind of backstory in the comics, they've never stuck or it only happens in one shots that aren't continuity to the continuing stories.

Also this will be a new actor playing him and will not be related to the current DCEU apparently. Fuck sake WB/DC, get it fucking right already.

Defenders storyline was pretty naff.

It should have been a build up to battling the Kingpin instead of the Hand.

Really looking forward to it. He was the best thing about Daredevil season 2 I'd probably go as far to day the whole Marvel Netflix shows.

A trailer for Runaways just dropped - looking pretty close to the source material, which is good.

The comic was awesome, so I'm hopeful for this - pity it's on fecking HULU. Darned streaming exclusivity, *grumbling Muttley noises*.

From many accounts The Defenders flopped (not as hard as Inhumans though, hoo boy). Haven't seen it myself yet - have been pretty invested in the Netflix Marvel Universe as Daredevil S1 + S2, Jessica Jones and most of Luke Cage were pretty awesome.
I think Iron Fist was the dealbreaker here - Finn Jones portrayed him as stuck-up and pompous, which ain't what Danny Rand's about - and nearly every other character in his solo series was more interesting than him.
Still, we're getting more JJ and more Luke Cage, which is fine by me. And we've got The Punisher to look forward to.

Up to speed with the first few Inhumans episodes. Not as bad as it's being made out, really. Needs to be developed a lot more, though.

First episode of Gifted I really enjoyed.
Looking forward to more.

Gotham is back too.
Crazy fucking show, but it works.

Gonna let Arrow and Flash build episodes build up for a while. I like to binge on those ones.

The Punisher trailer 2 is out:

Series airs November 17th. Really excited for this. He was the best thing about Daredevil Season 2 but ultimately it was a massive tease and left me really wanting more.

I actually like the mix of One they are doing in the trailers, works well.

But tbh I'm not jumpin on the hype train again.. these TV series have been huge let downs for the most part. Cool trailers... zero substance.
Will still check it out regardless but I won't be holding my breath

A lot of the Nexflix Marvel shows have been pretty good..... up to a point. That point for me was about halfway to 3 quarters of Luke Cage - they just winged it from there. Iron Fist could have been the nail in the coffin were it not for The Punisher coming up. Jon Bernthal is a massive presence as him.

Just back from Thor: Ragnarok. Tons of fun. Definitely airs more on the comedy side. Haven't laughed that much in the cinema in a long time.

Found it verged on trying to be too funny but definitely some laugh out loud moments. Really enjoyed it though.

Thor was great fun altogether. Plenty of action and plenty of good banter-y type humour.
