These threads are useless without your home addresses and working hours!

Unless you have a load of particularly interesting stuff I would just say these threads are pointless in general

I dunno, i think it could be cool because as the OP says it could provoke discussion, maybe someone will see a guitar or bit of gear listed that they fancy themselves and talk will take off from there.

That being said, I am a complete guitar anorak and even a list thread like this is genuinely interesting for me.

Love this kind of thread myself. Complete gear nerd that I am! I'll post back later with what I have.

Thought it'd be interesting to see what others have, no matter how crap or brilliant the gear is.

The V256 vocoder was the worst thing I bought. The Brice bass was more for the novelty factor and was only 180 in total, bit of waste of space now.

Just bought the Empress Effects Heavy & the Darkglass Microtubes B7K pedals so hoping to try them out next week.

Where do you guys keep all the guitars? Wall mounted, in bags/cases? Sold a guitar recently and I've 3 up in the attic as I'm running out of space!

i fuckin knew it Spod

you're a lucky man, thats a cracking collection. If you ever feel the need to part with the Ninja, keep me informed. I'd swap you my EX400 for it in a heartbeat.

Feel free to call me a chancing bastard btw!

Just to annoy you Mike, I don't even really play it that much. I've the Loomis in Open C, the Elite in Open B, the Hellraiser in standard E, Ibanez in dropped C and the Ninja in dropped D. Damien 6 is in Eb. Think the EX-350 is in standard C. Can't even remember how the KKV is tuned - standard D maybe.

As for storing them, they're just dotted around the living room. Have an offer on a place at the moment which has a large playroom off the side of the house so I'll probably look at making that the 'man cave' and wall mounting them. Just not sure of the physics - can you hang them directly off of the wall or is better to mount a board and hang them off of that?

well if you dont play it you can swap it to me so :D

regarding storage, two in cases at the house for arsing about on, the rest in cases at the studio.

The other lads are forever beging me to buy gig-bags because a Jackson flightcase takes up a fucking woeful amountof space in a car when we travel

As an aside, does anyone else favour a particular guitar or guitars in their collection over the rest, despite the others being ostensibly better? Personally, I use my KVX’s live despite having higher-end guitars at my disposal. The black one was my mainstay for about two years, intermittent flirtations with my M2 aside. Now i’m using the black V as my backup with the blue one being number one gun. They just kind of sit right on me, and the necks on the two of them are something else (despite the neck on blackie being worn to hell and back). I love all my guitars, but i just prefer those two out of all of them

Evidently none of us got enough toys as a child, but thats another matter. For wallmounting them, it’s really easy to do, i’ve done it myself. Drill holes in the wall, put rawlplugs into the holes and screw a stout piece of good-quality, ¾ inch wood into place. Attach Hercules wall-hanger brackets to the piece of wood and Robert is your mother’s brother. You can also mount the brackets directly onto the wall, just make sure the holes are good and deep and you use good quality rawlplugs and screws

The C-1 Elite would be up there despite the Hellraiser and Loomis being more expensive and having better pups etc. There's one for sale on Adverts for around €400 and I'd defo pick it up if I had the spare cash.

Had a look at wall mount brackets on thomann last night and they have the Hercules ones for around €12.50. Have a few of their stands and they're sturdy as hell so might look into a few of them once I get sorted.
