Yeah its that time of year again, so fucking shoot me!

So, its nearing NAMM time and I get all giddy about all this new gear coming out that I can't afford! :P So show me what you are looking forward to or what you aim to acquire this year... I'll start with some new Ibanez gear...

Starting out nicely, cant wait to see what else they bring to the table!

I'm gunning for an AMT P2 this year, or, if i win the lottery, one of the wee lunchbox sized 5150s.

Also seriously trying to shift my ESP M2 as i really, really want either a high-end King V or another Les Paul.

Alternately, if the M2 does sell I might, MIGHT say fuck the whole lot and pick up either a Helix or an AFX. I want al the toys

I really dislike the "unfinished" paint job look on the first two guitars there. It makes it look like they just stuck a cheap sticker over the body.

The RGAIX7FM is pretty nice looking though. But Ibanez need a better naming system. I feel like I'm talking about electronic components.

Ibanez are terrible bastards for that. Jackson can be at it too, particularly with the Soloist line for some reason.

"Thon's a lovely guitar, what is it?"

"Ah sure you know yourself, it's an SLATTXMG3-6"

Similarly, if an RR1 is top of the pile, why is an RR5 better than an RR3?

I would rethink the helix purchase. Spent an afternoon with one...amazing ui, amazing cleans and fx but plastic gain tones. An improvement over the previous generation, but plastic none the less. The board is enormous too.

Ibanez remind me of Clarkson going on about Porsche designers being the laziest in the world because they just release the exact same design over and over with little changes to the trim etc...

I'd have that Gibson V though.

Ha! You say that about Ibanez but would jump on a Gibson V that looks like every other Gibson V out there? :P

I should elaborate so I dont come off as a total dick :P

I'd totally jump on that V too, but I love what Ibanez are doing more. Trying something different. Trying to compete with all these new customer builders out there with crazy colours and ideas. Pretty sure they'll get a ton of shit for it but they have to try!

In saying that the new Gibson range is tasty. The "high performance" range have some killer features!

Framus have announced a Devin Townsend "Mastyerbuilt" signature model. It's ugly AF, being a knock-off of the EBMM Majesty, but the spec sheet makes for some reading. Evertune bridge, Fishman pickups, the whole nine yards.

Thing is though, a guitar that has a $4000 MSRP really should come with a case rather than a gig bag

I spotted it on a facebook page called "Wired Guitarist," with the image purportedly lifted from bmusic.com.au (a legit Australian guitar dealer).

The thing is WAY fucking new so info is next to non existant atm (more to follow as i find it), I predict a NAMM launch. Here's the spec though.

Framus MasterBuilt Devin Townsend

6 string
Set neck
Flamed Maple Headstock
Graph Tech locking machineheads
Graph Tech Nut
24.75 scale
22 nickel silver frets
Tiger Ebony fretboard
Flamed Maple NEck
AAAA Flamed Maple Top, Mahogany Body
Fishman Fluence dual-voice pickups
Evertune Bridge
