Thinking of moving to Cali to grow weed and sell it to the local marijuana dispensiaries. Been doing a bit of research for the last hour or two.

It appears that you can legally grow your own chronic with a license. To qualify for his, one would have to be a carer of, or a patient suffering an illness which can be treated with marijuana (cancer, glaucoma etc etc). I've been told its not too hard to get a reference from a doctor in order to obtain a license.

Anybody on here know anyone in Cali doing this?

My main question would be, do I have be an American citizen in order to qualify?
Also how much will the dispensiaries pay? Meaning would it be enough to pay for my rent, food and electricity? I'm not looking for profits, I just like the idea of growing sticky green to survive. I love doing it and if I had the chance to legally grow it for the rest of my days, I'd gladly take it.

Since typing this post I came across this daunting article http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNe ... P320091120

Apparently, since Bush left office, his "Zero Tolerance" policy went out the window. Hundreds of dispensiaries have been set up and are making a lot of profits, which violates California's medicinal marijuana laws. I think the law states that dispensiaries cannot make profits, or something similar. Some city officials do not want dispensiaries in their towns because they say it attracts crime. I have yet to come across an article which confirms such actions.

I think California has 28 counties, 8 have banned marijuana dispensiaries.

So can anybody shed a bit of light on this subject? I'm looking for comments from people who actually know what they are talking about. Preferably somebody who has a friend/relative growing in Cali.

Thanks.

So you want to work in the states and aren't a citizen, have a green card or a work permit? If you apply for one of these things and tell them you're going to grow weed you honestly think they'll be like "yeah come on in and grow narcotics".

In other words you have done no research.

I know nothing of working in the states. I've only researched present marijuana laws in cali and canada.

Is it too much to ask for serious comments and not 10 pages of MI comedy

You ask if you need to be a U.S citizen to do it?

Not a bit of it, you just get to the airport in the states and tell them you are there to grow and sell weed and they will welcome you with open arms, they might even buy you a present.

When did you do that if you don't mind me asking. I've heard they have been going easier on people now than they have been before.

Farming isn't a "real job"?

Also what's not real about manufacturing medicine for those who need it?

Yes seriously. Growing weed falls under the agriculture category.

Many people use medicinal marijuana for pain relief and I'd like to contribute.

Like I said in the first post, I'm not in it for the monies. I'd like to grow without a constant fear of getting busted and I want to support the MJ dispensiaries in Cali :D

Always wanted to move to Cali anyway
