Since I first logged onto the internet around 1997, I don't think I've ever seen a page quite as entertaining as that bio. And to be honest I don't think I'll see one as entertaining until the end of my days.

The mind well and truly boggles.

"Though he is not a qualified journalist, Brian Reynolds has written several published press releases..."

Actually gonna stop now. This is turning into school yard style bullying.

I'm all in favour of shameless self-promotion. You don't get up on a stage in front of your peers unless you have an ego. And a cruel masochistic streak. But trying to bullshit the wary and ravenous hounds that scrutinise MI is tantamount to "professional" suicide, I'm thinking. Whoops. Come clean, we'll laugh about it over a few drinks, and you might not even have to change your identity. Again. This makes being in work worthwhile too. More of it.

Fuckin hell....I just got some emergency texts about this thread and I love it. Yes, yes, yes it was all the band and now we're super famous and loaded too - thank you. Sold 1,500 copies of Methods in the last 10 minutes...all to Padre Pio.

@Claire Thank you for posting and I'm sure your intentions were good. We were very happy with the turnout at the gig on Saturday night and appreciate the efforts of James and the Distortion Project (as we posted over in the gig discussion back on Saturday night after the gig).

We were happy enough with the crowd to be honest. We're a relatively new band who just played our 2nd gig. We're not well known and I personally think a lot of people on the night came to check us out but probably didn't have our album. We don't play the kind of music that demands a moshpit. I personally wouldn't call us a Gothic band but neither are we really a Metalireland band so we don't post much about the band on this forum. I post here as I like Death Metal amongst other things and I like to see what's happening locally especially with other local bands, some of whom I’m in contact with. Despite the shite often found on here, and let's be honest, it's the same with Blabbermouth or any other forum or comments page, and now I'll be accused of spouting much of it, Metalireland is a valuable resource to the local scene and Earl Grey has worked hard to establish it as that.

To answer your question, our album sales here would definitely not be strong in contrast with what we do in England and mainland Europe. America accounts for a good percentage of our sales, but as any band on here will tell you, local turnouts and album / demo sales are not strong unless you're in the position of the likes of Primordial who have served their time for many years and have label support. I think that's the key. You have to almost prove your worth first of all and our market isn't necessarily in Ireland but then whose is?

There are some photos of the gig on our Facebook page and some should be on the website soon. No videos from the band unless anybody else has posted some.

Thanks for your kind words Claire.

This thread is an embarrassment guys.

You must be getting so many emergency texts today that your battery died!
