I am hesitating to go because I have to come from Cork.
I saw them in Paris 2 years ago.

Seriously?!

It's a 3 hour bus ride. Get over yourself and get on the road.

Were you expecting sympathy?
Why would you think anyone on here gave a fuck?

Driving down to this one and was hoping to get some advice on where would be best to park for going to the Olympia?

There's a car park on Drury St. which would be around the corner from the venue.

I've used it a few times when I stay in a hotel nearby. No problems.

I'm not sure how much it costs per hour (comped as part of the hotel stay) but it can't be that expensive.

The College Of Surgeons carpark has a night rate post 5pm (I think) that you pre-pay. check the park-rite website, you can book parking spaces online there.

Does anyone have an idea of stage times?

I was thinking of legging it to Whelan's for Uncle Acid.

For some reason Ticketmaster sent me a text with the stage times for the Belfast show. Panic gripped me that I'd bought the wrong ticket but, no, it's definitely Dublin that I'm going to. Weird though.

Any chance of sticking those times up in the Belfast thread?

That drury street car park is usually open til about 1am on weekends, one of cheaper hourly rates in city center too. Dont know rate off hand but i checked before and its favourable, college surgeons do overnight prepaid rate but have to be out by 8am i think.

Other option is street parking free from 7pm to 7am and 'generally' fine, i.e. rarely breakins once nothing left on seat etc. :)

Never been to a gig in the Olympia, I assume there's a cloakroom? Will be likely hopping off a bus from Galway and heading straight there to the venue with a couple of others and we'll have bags with us.

EDIT : ah all good, got the info that they do on the website. Hopefully this being the very first date of quite a large Euro tour, the lads will put on a cracking show. Last one was brilliant in the Academy.
