Excellent. Ticket now purchased for this. In all fairness €40 (with ticket posted) for Solstafir & Dread Sovereign is good value never mind the rest. I haven't payed to much attention to other bands on the bill but I'm slowly working my way through them; ABRAHMA are pretty cool.

Is this a one off or are there plans to make it an annual affair?

Anyone find any reasonably priced accommodation for that weekend, I 'm seeing some outrageous prices here?

Cheers man, we think so too.

As regards this being an annual affair, we would hope so, but for now it's a case of let's see how this one goes. If you head over to the about section of http://www.emeraldhazedublin.com there's info on what we're trying to achieve with this festival.

The line-up gets better. Wild Rocket are great.

Not going to buy a ticket until I have accommodation sorted. Which is looking less and less likely.

I was in Liverpool 2 weeks ago for 3 nights. The flights and hotel (a very nice hotel) cost me less than what a half-decent hotel in Dublin will run me for 2 nights.

Desertfest in Berlin was €500 was 5 nights in a great hotel, 3-day ticket and return flights.

Jury's Inn on Parnell street is €598 for 2 nights in September.

Yep hotel prices in Dublin are shit. Way too few for the demand. I'll most likely commute from Dundalk for this one but I might take on a hostel for the Saturday night if at all possible. Either way looking forward to it.

Dublin hotels and hostels are ridiculous. I'm lucky I have a van that takes a double mattress in the back. High rise car park with 24 hour access is all I need for any night I'm staying in Dublin city centre. A steal at €18...

I stay over in Dublin about 12 times a year and depending which mates Im going with ( one wont stay in a hostel no matter what !) Its either 20€ a bed in a 8 bed hostel room or a 100€ apartment that sleeps 5.
Issacs hostel or Jacobs Inn are decent.
