Due to an unforeseen family situation Belzebong have had to withdraw from their planned appearance at Emerald Haze.

As you can imagine neither the band or the festival organisers are happy about this, but it was completely understandable and unavoidable.

Lots of fun checking these bands out before the weekend, seeing as I've basically heard of none of them save Dread Sovereign and Sólstafir. Lots of variety too, at the moment King Witch, Vulpynes and Death The Leveller all sound great.

That's great man, the whole point of this festival and the basis on which we secured investment from Dublin City Council is to draw attention to the Irish underground and to give new and emerging Irish bands an opportunity to get seen by the Irish metal community at large.

Me too and it looks like I'll struggle to see everyone that I want. I'll be hopping from room to room by the looks of things.

I'd imagine you should be fine no word on it being sold out.

Totally blown away by Dread Sovereign and Sólstafir (first time seeing both).
Bored to tears with Lord Vícar. Don't see what all the fuss is tbh.
Great selection of merch available too which was nice. Those Emerald Haze t-shirts were really cool if a little pricey, €15.

Very well organised and well run . Fair play to the organisers. I only caught the friday night as we were playing in Galway on saturday but Cosmic Dead and Mount Soma were the bands for me. Good job everyone.
