The Warm up tribute show will be on the night before. And the tribute to that tribute - the night before that.

I dont really get the hate towards these kinds of nights,i dont think theres anything wrong with a good tribute act, they can be an enjoyable night out.

Too many tribute acts, absolutely saturated at the minute. Killing opportunities for real bands.

Is it though?
Most people go to these things for a nostalgic trip for a few hours.

Tis Stenchy's 'thing', this. Giving out about tribute bands. He'll find a new 'thing' soon enough, though. Don't worry.

You are kind of right Brian. I do need a thing to keep me going, however I've had an eternal hatred of tribute bands that's been brought to boiling point due to the sheer number of them we have at the minute.

Stenchy. I need to know your rational on why tribute/cover bands are killing opportunities for real bands?

Is there not the same amount of tribute bands/wedding bands whatever the fuck around now as there was 10 or 20 years ago?!
As far as I'm concerned they have always been there, It's like a nixer for alot of them.
What's the problem with people doing something they like/audience like and making a little extra cash as a result?

Would love to see your stats to back up that solid statement.
There has always been tribute bands, cover bands and wedding bands.
We have the internet now, so you see more of them out there.

I played in and still play in original bands and have been for the past 15 years.
i joined a tribute band 8 years ago (bloody kisses). i have done one other covers band since then which i joined last year, that is all, so 9 is a stretch.

At no point have i ever felt tribute bands have impacted on original bands, from my experience anyway.
Of the gigs i attend about 95% are originals.
The fact that you didn't answer it and deflected the question says it all about your logic. Why don't you enlighten us.
