Anyone ever been over to Germany for this? I've been in the venue before for an Elder gig.

Finally have the opportunity to go to Desertfest in Berlin after wanting to go every year and having some poxy reason not to. Tickets bought, can't wait to go.

No headliners announced yet but;

Lowrider
Toundra
The Cosmic Dead
Satan's Satyrs
Ecstatic Visions

Few more bands announced, no headliners yet though;

Samsara Blues Experiment
Mars Red Sky
Wucan
Tuber
The Well

Samsara Blues Experiment are great and Mars Red Sky have their moments. I gave Tuber a listen on Spotify and it's pretty decent too. The rest I haven't gotten to yet.

Heh heh. I guess so.

They might be good lads to get a mash pit going.

A few more bands announced. I've never heard of any of them though.

Venomous Maximus
GOLD
Tschaika 21/16

After listening to all 3, I can safely say that I'll be found at the bar during the first two acts.

Few more announcements for Berlin;

Second headliner is John Garcia (Ex-Kyuss/Slo Burn) - not wholly impressed with this choice of main act. His solo album is good and obviously singing with Kyuss gives him status but I'm not convinced that he's the best choice to close one of the nights.

SUMA (Sweden) - A buddy of mine saw them recently and said that they were great.

1000mods (Greece)

Pontiak (USA)

Riff Fist (Australia)

Stoner rock is quite popular in Germany and John Garcia does well there...his European tours always have more German dates than any other European country.

London full line up announced with day splits. Good mix of stoner on the Friday and doom/ sludge the other two days. Using the Roundhouse instead of Koko on Sunday this year should be a good evenings craic too

Desertfest isn't too far away. They've added another few bands.

The Devil and Almighy Blues are pretty great. Anyone into Graveyard might like to check them out.
