Didn't they fire a guitar player just before recording "Storm.." for apparent laziness? Can't recall his name but he's credited with some co-writing.

With the exception of Black Horizons and the title track could never really get into their debut album. Bought SOLBT solely on the strength of the VHS of the Gods of Darkness where they performed with Dimmu on 31/03/97. Suffice to say when the package arrived from NB I was totally mesmerised. Twenty years on songs like Night's Blood and Thorns of Crimson Death continue to astound. Whereas I feel that Sacramentum and Vinterland beat Dissection at their own game with their respective releases one year later Storm of the Light's Bane remains one of the greatest albums in any genre of metal to these ears and would easily fit in my top ten albums of all time. Rest in peace Jon.
