Doing a touch of painting and the soundtrack today was:

Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back to Life
Vomitor - Pestilent Death
The Devil's Blood - The Time of No Time Evermore
Ritual Howls - Turkish Leather
Iced Earth - Horror Show
Knokkelklang -Jeg Begraver

A fine mixed bag.

Redemption - Long Nights Journey into Darkness.

Tom Englund(Evergrey) on vocals.

Great Prog Metal.

An excellent album that includes a very good cover of U2's
New Years Day.

Killing Joke - Pylon

It disappoints me so much that I only got into this band last year. So many wasted years.

Ultha 'Converging Sins' ... been listening to this incessantly all week. My favourite exponents of monotonous - in the positive, hypnotically repetitive sense - atmospheric Black Metal. And they get bonus points for comng up with a song title like 'Death Created Time To Grow The Things It Kills.' Can't wait for the new album in October.

this is tasty, cheers for the shout.

Likely to be followed by
Mourning Beloveth - Rust and Bone
Ved Buens Ende - Written in Waters
Altar of Plagues - Mammal

Yeah, but done slightly better I reckon. Of the post-'The Dreadful Hours' albums it's the one I listen to most (or more accurately: it's the one I listen to).

Rush - Hold Your Fire, took me a while to appreciate the more synthy period but really enjoying it recently. I remember reading that Lifeson thought Tai Shan was the worst song they ever did. It's a bit cheesy but I don't think it's that bad at all

Turn the Page (banger of a tune) sounds like fucking Super Mario Kart in places (or vicea versa as Mario Kart came 5 years later).
