Sound job. Hopefully the beer queues aren't as bad this year at the festival.

Still got me shitfaced though. I could hardly stand by the time Gojira came on, haha. Although that may have been the copious amount of Pink Coffeshop's finest # I was smoking.

We'd been there since around 12ish to watch VUUR so we were fairly well on it as well by the time Gojira played. Met an Irish lad and his wife that we'd bumped into in The Jack the night before but she took off ill and he had a pile of her tokens to plough through so naturally we helped him out

Hope the merch setup is better this year as well. I'd swear half the bands on the day never got their official merch up on a wall anywhere. Bought a Dynamo hoodie but had been keeping an eye out for DTP stuff and didn't see any.

So that's the way it is, yeah?

Ordered the pre-party tix anyway. Don't think it's all on in The Jack though, I think that's more the after-pre-party from 00:30 onwards. The bands are most likely on in the Dynamo venue itself..maybe 1-2 of them on the small stage area in The Jack after the larger bands have played the club.

For €14 bucks, I'm sure we'll stick a head in at some stage but no major loss if it's rubbish. Was only half full last year for Diamond Head and much better craic to be had back at The Jack afterwards.

Ryanair striking next Thursday. Couldn't provide any info on whether our flight to Eindhoven was affected and said we wouldn't be informed until Tuesday at which time, it would prob be much more expensive to book something else. Decided to hedge our bets and buy backup Aer Lingus flights to Amsterdam instead.

We paid €77 for the 06:15 flight to Amsterdam. Checked it this morning and it was already up to €107. Still some cheap Ryanair tix into Amsterdam the following day that might be handy backups.

I'll hedge my bets and hope Ryanair sort their shit out. I'm not arsed adding extra expense to the trip for a one dayer.

I hear ya, it's a 3-dayer for us and it's a 40th birthday trip for one of the lads so opting to not go if the Ryanair flight was cancelled and alternatives too pricey wasn't really an option. Having said that, I'll be surprised if Ryanair don't pull something out of the bag to get those planes in the air.

Worth noting also that it's only Irish-based pilots that are striking so AFAIK, if your incoming plane has pilots that serve a different airport (so to speak), you might be able to get out.
