Lidl starting to get in their camping gear

https://www.lidl.ie/en/special-offers.htm?id=369&week=1

Not much in the range of smaller tents but ye might find something useful. Nothing on the Aldi site yet.

Just looking at that and there seems to be a couple of big camping/outdoor stores near the city centre. Had my eye on a pop-up tent this year to save time but won't fit in my rucksack and pretty sure Ryanair wouldn't let me carry it on...might just grab one in Eindhoven.

Couple of links if anyone is considering it...Decathlon seems to be the closest to the train station/bus pickup.

Anyone had any joy booking bus tix with EventExpress in the last few days? A mate can't get it to work and I've had similar problems trying to book them for him.

Haven't tried but are times assumed ok are as not sure; 1145 is earliest so means you're arriving at about 1400 I guess, hope there's not much of a queue. Might just taxi it.

Maiden day the first to sell out anyway confirmed today.

11:45 will have you there for around 12:30. Only around 45 mins from Eindhoven.

Oh ya of course actually meant 13:00 got it from airport last time, hmm that might be manageable.

Should be grand. That's the bus we're on anyway. Expecting a queue to get in but even though the gates open at 14:00, there's nothing decent on for the first few hours. Plenty of time to get in and sort out the camping side of things.

FYI - Had a chat with eventexpressbus last week and whatever bug they had that was stopping people from Ireland booking tickets is now resolved.

6 weeks today we'll be heading for the airport. Starting to get the itch. Have all the camping gear laid out on the spare bed already

If I was booking this again I would go for XL. As it is have got 3 day ticket but for another 89 euros wasn't that worried for GnR. 3 hour set! They only had one Good album so how can they stretch their set out for that long?I do love Iced Earth but have seen them before at afew different Fests .Need to see them at headlining
Show.Have they been to Ireland much

GnR/Ghost/Iced Earth sold the Thursday to me anyway but also add in that anyone arriving on the Friday will (presumably) end up further away in the campsite than most that get there on the Thursday. We're looking to do a fair bit of campsite drinking between bands this year to save a few quid so the closer we can get to the entrance the better.

Iced Earth played Dublin back in 2012 I think.
