Yob are releasing a new album called Our Raw Heart on June 8. Clearing the Path to Ascend was brilliant so I have high hopes for this one.

They were deadly in Whelans a year or so back too.

Great to hear. Marrow is one of the best songs I have heard in a long time.

Hopefully they will come back over for a gig. Might give me a kick in the hole to start going to gigs again.

Just heard VHOL for the first time yesterday so that will tie me over until the new YOB.

Marrow is indeed a belter of a song!

A release I will buy without hearing a single note from before hand. The Whelans gig was indeed great and had a pretty good turnout too.

One of the few Doom bands that currently still has my interest. I can not wait to hear this and just like stevie-0 said, I'll buy this without a single second of thought.

Some of the most memorable gigs of my life have been of Yob and certainly hope to see them again. They've only announced a US tour thus far for this release. I'd reckon they'll be in Europe next year around Roadburn.

Came across this video of Mike Scheidt doing an acoustic version of 'Marrow' at Revolver Mag, may be of interest here. What a song.

The new track is up on bandcamp for streaming, if you don't have spotify:

Sounds great, can't wait to hear the whole album.

Bit of a Gojira/Meshuggah buzz of that, maybe even a bit of Celtic Frost's 'Monotheist' album in the verses.

Good stuff, looking forward to the new album. Hopefully they will come back to Ireland later in the year, looks like they are back in Europe in October.

After all the health scares with Mike I didn't think we would have any chance of seeing them live again.

I never got into Yob and I could not understand all the fuss about them until this song. It is truly immense. Thanks a million lads I shall be procuring said record and re-listening to the older ones.
