Right lets not turn this into a bitchfest/flame war.. I want to hear your opinons on metal, bands/songs etc. that you think are pretty controversial.
I'll get the ball rolling... (residentiofbok cant stand this one.. )
I think Emperor are more a power metal band than a black metal band |

can you guys give reasons or some kind of qualification about why you dont like iced earth/manowar?
if the thread was "i think this band are shite i think that band are shite" this thread would run for about 1000 pages... |

Actually, there are more Manowar haters on this forum than fans. The majority of people who think Manowar are 'shite' have usually made their mind up by a) word of mouth, b) the bands appearance, c) a choice few songs, or d) not being fans of the classic Metal genre (i.e. the REAL Heavy Metal) in the first place.
Here's one:
Anthrax only released one good album - Fistful of Metal. The rest are shite, mid-tempo tripe. |

hmmm.
pink is the new metal??? - I think ferg just wants to start a fight?
Never really been a fan of maiden - other than a handful of songs at party times.
I can also think of a few local bands that I reckon need a lot more practise before heading on stage again - but i think i know a few who would agree with me. it's not controversial, it would just be bitchy to start that on a public forum. |
