fantastic match, great to see the team working as a cohesive element with passion and confidence

Kearney was savage, and Hayes is truly a beast of a player

France were great, they really did menace and threaten us to the last, but our defense was solid

Fitzgerald put in some huge tackles, and he looks fairly flimsy like!

England v Italy was terrible, almost beyond description. Mauro Bergamasco at 9 might have well been cleaning balls out from the changing rooms.

Best performance by an Irish team in years. Declan Kidney has them playing really well, they are far more determined and will to burst a gut and a bit more threatening unlike the last few years under Eddie O'Sullivan. But still someone needs to tell Ronan O'Gara to stop booting the ball to the French.

They were looking dangerous from attacking from deep and we were just kicking it to them. For me possession is key, grind it out with the forwards up the gut and then spread it out. I know theres the point of gaining territory but some of the kicks were right down the middle and allowing France to ru at us which lead to their 2 tries.

Anyway good win, I didnt see it coming myself. Wales are the team to beat. However dont be surprised if theres an upset tomorrow. It's going to be ice-cold in Murrayfield tomorrow which will suit the Scots. England while difficult to beat are not the force they once were, at times they just awful. I said it when it was announced Martin Johnson was a terrible appointment as a coach, no experience in that position.

but its early days for a six nations crown, next year id say...

Early days??? I don't know about you, but I've been waiting for them to do it for the last seven years!! Great match and a great performance, but I refuse to get my hopes up this year having been let down by them so often.

Clearly someone had a word in Gaffney's ear and told him to play the backs deep, and maybe seeing that will inspire Cheika to kick Nacewa out on his arse and put Sexton back at ten so that Leinster can kick on from here, and a potential future Irish fly half can finally get some game time.

sure it just wouldn't be the six nations without that crushing sense of inevitability, would it?

O'Leary could also do without all the kicking too, sometimes the match descended into a bizarre tennis hommage

The kicking side of the game is complete shit. The whole up & under approach just doesn't make for good viewing.
