Not by a long shot. 'Forgone' was very good, 'Conversion' was okay, 'Mirrorsoil', bar one or two tracks was poor.
I've heard good things about 'Shards' though so still willing to give them the happy, ear as I really enjoyed 'Forgone'. |

Mirrorsoil has one or two dodgy ones on it alright but songs like cease , veil of lead and weiss are just earth shattering and thus make up for the rest of it.
Shards is cool alright perfect follow on to foregone .
Their use of dual vocals is perfect |

| I dunno, the majority of their recorded output has'nt struck much of a chord with me apart from the Conversion EP which is deadly and Foregone. Great live band though. They were especially good at HP last year. |

Agreed. They're great but I'd prefer listening to them live than on the CD. |

Yeah, they're great live, really delivered the goods when they played the Temple in Dublin and at HP. I only have Foregone and Shards but both are excellent slabs of traditional Doom, with Forgone out in front. 'Metamorphosis', what a track!

| I'm not especially big on them. They've got a Katatonia-esque 'wah wah wah' quality that just doesn't click with me. Sure, a lot of Doom lyrics are about how hard life is and being dealt a bad hand, but I just don't like when there's a moany goth quality to it. |

What do these 'Appreciation' threads achive? Nothing! why start them? I appreciate that this thread should be locked for its pure senselessness.
And this has nothing against the band. |

agreed , talking about bands you like and stirring up a bit of conversation and debate is exactly what metalireland was put on the internet NOT to do |
