just got back, awesome festival! highlights were definitely Slipknot, Lamb of God, Korn, Disturbed (even if draiman's voice was kinda fucked), and Duff McKagan's Loaded
What the fuck is up with marilyn manson though?! jesus, i felt embarrassed watching him last night, i've never seen so many people walk away from a gig in my life! and with Nightwish before him on the main stage, it was a really anti-climactic end to an incredible weekend! |

Just alive now. Another good festival this year. Lineup wasn't great but i got to see all the bands i wanted so am happy out. Bands of the weekend for me were Pestilence, Exodus, Sacred Reich, Suicidal Tendencies, Death Angel, Negura Bunget, Wolves In The Throne Room and Volbeat but above them all was Heaven And Hell.....fucking amazing set with the best bass sound i have ever heard, its was sending shivers down me spine it was that good. The place was packed on Saturday and Sunday but i queued no more than 5 minutes for anything so it was definitly better in that respect this year. Not too sure on the new layout though, its a bigger trek between marquees and the seated drinking area is out of the arena so too far away from the action. Very fucking hot over there again this year too. Not sure if i'll do it again next year, might be time to try another fest out.
