Hate to say this as I know you're excited you've a vocalist but the songs rocked my balls off as instrumentals. I'm not bagging on the singer but it moves the music's style for me from something interesting to something kinda lacklustre and tired. I don't hate it though. It's just very Linkin Park-y which doesn't personally do anything for me.
But look, that's just me. If I heard this on the radio, I'd think this sounds like a professional and established band.
(And then I'd change the station...) |

each to their own man, you're entitled to your opinion. They're only the demo vocals so maybe you might like them a bit more when the real ones are done, but probably not. The 2 gigs we've done so far we've had people come up and absolutely rave about how good our new singer is so I guess some people are enjoying it, which is what matters, sorry it's not your thing. Thanks for checking it out though!

Vocals are definitely a stand-out weakness, but the song itself is unbelievably well written. Hopefully, as you say, the singer will get more accustomed and improve, cause although this isn't something I would really listen to, it's undeniable quality. Top stuff lads.

Very well written and well played, no doubt. Not the type of stuff I listen to, to be honest but it's certainly of a high standard. The vocals are a bit meh, alright. When I saw MJK mentioned I was interested but it sounds a bit Linkin Parkish alright. As Chris said, let the singer play around a bit more. If he is more of a rock singer why not let him bring in some non-metal influences and see where it takes you. I also think you should consider a name change, as Shattered Skies really isn't very interesting or eye-catching. Still though, fair play as it has a lot of merit. It has a lot of mainstream potential, it just needs a little bit more identity.

Again, yas are entitled to your opinions but we played Fibbers on Saturday night and people were lining up to tell us how good the new singer is etc. Judging by the waves of positive comments we're getting about him, we're gonna stick with him. We've yet to record any of the final vocals for the EP yet so maybe you guys will like him a bit more then, I dunno. He's definitely working hard and we know there's work to be done with him. But thanks for checking us out anyways, we honestly do appreciate that. We realise it ain't gonna be everyone's cup of tea, and we know his full potential hasn't even been nearly reached yet on the recording we put out.
