He apparantly gave the SOMALIAN FA a load of cash to vote for him. I'm shocked Somalia has an FA, it doesn't even have a bloody government.
Can anyone run for FIFA President, there should be a large boycott or mass sign up to show the stupidity of this election if it goes ahead. Lets all run for President.
TO RUN, ONE MEMBER NATION WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE VOTED FOR YOU BY SOMETIME IN APRIL.
THE PRESS CONFERENCE TONIGHT WAS A JOKE. BLATTER COULD'NT GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER TO ANY QUESTION AND WHEN THINGS HEATED UP HE WALKED OFF. IT WAS LIKE HE COULD'NT BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD ASK HIM THESE QUESTIONS.
HE ALSO WOULD'NT TAKE QUESTIONS FROM SOME JOURNALISTS, BUT HE GOT CAUGHT BY A NORWEGIAN LAD. FORGET THE EXACT WORDING OF THE QUESTION BUT HE WAS STUNNED AND IT TOOK HIM THE BEST PART OF A MINUTE TO ANSWER. |

So basically if this election goes ahead as planned nobody can step up and oppose Blatter?
Cowboys Ted, bunch of cowboys!
Missed the press conference, just reading parts of it now and its laughable.
Especially this bit in the report
"Dingemans' report revealing that Fifa executive committee Nicolas Leoz's aide had asked for the FA Cup to be named after the Paraguayan Exco member, who Triesman claimed in Parliament had demanded a knighthood from England's 2018 bid."
It would be good to see the bidding reopened on 2018/2022. Most likely Russia secure 2018 but with the allegations of Qatar buying 2022 it would be nice to see England get it. It would be fantastic to have a World Cup just across the water, always wanted to go to one. |

TALK IS NOW A FEE OF 1BILLION WAS PAID INTO FIFA ACCOUNTS TO SECURE 2022 WORLD CUP IN QATAR. BLATTER HAS PUBLICLY SAID HIMSELF HE WANTED IT IN THE USA. WHY I DONT KNOW? SURELY ITS AUSTRALIA'S TURN?
ON THE SAME ARGUMENT IT COULD BE SAID ITS THE MIDDLE EAST'S TURN ALSO. |

| There's no hope that the 2022 World Cup will be anywhere in Europe, even if it is taken from Qatar, it will stay outside Europe. FIFA is a shambles, it has been obvious for years. A World Cup in Australia would be tricky, it isn't the most popular sport there and it would cost waaaaay too much for people to go to it. |

| He'll be missed, but it is time for him to go. The fact that he is moving into the coaching staff is at least some consolation. Who will step into his shoes? I'd love to see Tom Cleverley do it, but while he is good, he is not that good |

I think cleverley is overflowing with potential there, with hard work from himself and the coaching staff he could be a mainstay in the united midfield for many years. |

Australia wouldn't be that much more expensive than Japan/Korea, and at least it's a place that plenty of people would like to go to and base a holiday around. Unlike Qatar!!!
Also, while it's not the most popular sport there, it's gaining popularity and is also very popular among recent European immigrants and other immigrant groups.
Moreover, the Aussies are past masters at putting on great sporting events.
The only real problem I can think of is that the time difference would really mess up TV schedules and the sponsors and TV companies might not be too happy. |

And people over here would have to go a couple weeks without sleep if they want to watch every match and go to work... |

Monaghan United 4, Everton 1.
(Okay, so it's Everton from Cork, but it still looks nice)
Rovers in Tallaght, or Drogheda/Sheriff at home in the next round, please. |
