It is indeed! Although I wouldn't go watch nowadays' incarnations of EXODUS & DESTRUCTION, when playing on their own, those are surely welcome additions to the billing! Where'll you be staying anyway, Dave?
Dennis, I'm staying at the Budgethotel de Zwaan. It's fairly basic but only €28 a night for a single room. I stayed there a few months ago at the time of the Primordial/WHW gig in Tilburg.
Ah, will look into that one among other options then, as I'm still undecided, where to stay. See you there anyway, mate! |

They were surprisingly good at Hellfest Dave. Bar the couple of new songs, their setlist and performance was top notch.
Still considering this, but sceptical from the stories I have heard in the past. I don't fancy that 200 euro taxi fee for when the trains get cancelled haha! |

Apparently permanent setlist for the 2011 gigs:
Not too shabby, methinks. |

Agreed, and one can go for a piss and two beers during songs 7 - 9 then! |

How affordable is this festival?
Could you get by on the cheap or is there loads of travel costs to it?
Also anyone knows what the beer/food prices are around.
This is most interesting |

| Flights are 70 quid return at the moment man, going out the 15th returning the 18th. Wiggles left a link for a hostel on my Facebook that's fairly close to the venue! |

Its not too bad. Dublin to Eindhoven is the best option with Ryanair - couple of euros in the bus from airport to station in the town centre. Venue is a 15 min walk or so. Some cheap hotel options available in the centre. I think there is a hostel but a bit further out.
Beer and food prices are similar to here in the centre - offies are cheap for booze - the venue uses the token system - think it worked out about 4 euros for 400ml of beer or something like that. You can get a pass-out and get stocked up at regualr intervals during the day. |
