| You can get a Orange San Francisco up north in Argos for under £100, basically a rebranded ZTE Blade. Easy to unlock, debrand, root and stick Swedish Spring on it (basically Froyo). I've running Japanese Jellyfish on 3 down south and haven't louked back. |

| Snesoid is pretty cool. Works great on HTC Wildfire. |

| I bought the snes, megadrive and nes emulators and have pissed away countless hours playing shadowrun and contra. Got to remember not to throw the phone down like a controller in frustration tho. |

Dale, it's just called SNES Emulator. Takes over your fucking life though, so watch out. I've dowloaded about a hundred games and they take up like half a megabyte of space, and people will ask why you spend 45 minutes in the bog during work.

A question for the smartphone gurus.
My wife is after a smartphone that fulfils the following requirements:
- ability to use Java-enabled websites - this is vital as her work intranet has a very important Java application;
- good internet surfing;
- touchscreen and keyboard - i.e. a keyboard that slides out;
- good apps would be a bonus but not the absolutely key consideration;
- she is not big into music, so the capacity to store a zillion MP3s is not important.
Any recommendations? |

John, give me the name of the mobile phone providers and I'll have a look through their Web sites to see what's on offer.
One question; when you say the ability to use Java-enabled Web sites, do you mean Java applets? If so, I'm sorry to say that Java applets aren't supported on Android phones (I'm confident they aren't supported on most mobile operating systems). |

NOKIA N8 IS WAY BEHIND I WOULD'VE THOUGHT. I'VE THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S TOO. ITS OK, THOUGHT IT WAS FANTASTIC AT FIRST, BATTERY ISN'T AS BAD AS HTC BUT NOT BRILLIANT. A LOT OF FORCE CLOSING LATELY TOO.
ALSO CAN'T GET ON THE INTERNET OUTSIDE OF EIRE WHICH IS A PAIN IN THE ROCKS. |

| I haven't tried using the internet outside of Ireland yet but it has everything I want in a phone, it's a lot better than the I Phone and it has 12mp camera. |
