| Well next announcement is Monday 16th and said that 14 bands will be announced with 3 of them being subheadliners (assumingly for the Main stage) so we'll see what comes from this and have a better idea of how they aim to improve this year's Download |

| Theres a few rumours about Van Halen but I really couldn't see them playing if not headlining...Sure we'll see who gets announced, looking forward to it anyway. |

| Rumours going round that this Priest London date could be a download warm up. Would work as subbing under sabbath, Priest could be bumped up if sabbath have to pull out |

| Am I missing something here, how does a dubstep/dance/trance bullshit act like Chase & Status get to play a metal festival? |

| I wouldn't mind a headline D show over here. They were good fun at Metallica and have a new album coming out soon enough. |

| Terrible announcement. Shame that Sabbath (whether or not they end up playing or not) get an undercard like that. |

Shando - I don't see Priest playing Download, if they do they are going back on their announcement for the London show - only UK date of 2012 and High Voltage last year being their final UK Festival - unless they step in for Sabbath........
at least the bands on the poster include some Metal bands... |

Machine Head headlining 2nd stage on the Friday so I'll be for sure watching them while The Prodigy are elsewhere...More to come but I'll say it'll be the same the above poster!
EDIT:
'Download Festival
Machine Head update for ya - they're actually playing the MAIN STAGE on Friday, and will be getting a full hour slot #WINNING' |

Was thinking the same thing, especially on the MAIN stage, no doubt Skrillex will be added too. Definate trend between middle of the road metallers and mainstream Dubstep fans though so it makes sense
Soundgarden, Machine Head, LOG, Devin Townsend, Devildriver, Anthrax and August Burns Red aren't half bad though. Still in two minds about the whole thing depending on Iommi's health |
