That Voodoo gig was one of the most enjoyable gigs for years, delighted to see 3 Inches Of Blood back. Definitely going to this.

Sounds like they've been listening to a lot of Painkiller for the new one too

Missed 3IOB in 2007. Will definitely be going to see them.

If you want to hear the real classic 3IOB without the over production you should check out Battlecry Under a Wintersun or the early singles if you can get hold of them.

Check out Ride Dark Horse Ride, Blazing Fires Of Evermore and Balls Of Ice too.

The first album Goatwhore did was fucking savage - still listen to it regularly!

Here a cut off it:

The later material veered more towards blackened death metal...some decent tunes here and there but the line up changed so much that the original sludgy death metal vibe has slowly been eroded

Still, may very well stroll along to witness them live, Ben is a savage front-man!

Jesus, you're not wrong at all. First time listening to them, dunno if I could handle that level of homage for an album though.

Laughing

SAW THEM IN WACKEN AND THE VOODOO. HIS VOCALS DO ME NUT IN AFTER A WHILE. GREAT BAND FOR 5 OR 6 SONGS.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Havok play. Best slice of thrash metal I've heard in a while. 3 inches of blood should be cool, although admittedly I only know/like about 4-5 songs: Silent Killer and Goatriders Horde will suffice!

Can't say I really care for Goatwhore but copious amounts of Jager should sort me out for the night.

Are Havok and Angelus Apatrida playing together from 745 til 8?
