I have never listened to Burzum in my life, nor ever even felt inclined to do so but I'd nearly buy it for that cover alone. Might just have to see what all the fuss is about finally.

That photo has so much potential.

I got this almost three weeks ago, and I must say that it is a bit on the ropey side. It never really gets going, there is very little to hook the listener and it just seems slapped together. Perhaps he is running out of the ideas that he came up with in prison? I can't see myself listening to it all that much in the future after I give it a few more chances this month.

Reading the book adds weight to the lyrical content, not having a word of english on it has its drawbacks but its a very simple album drawing the listener towards the nature of Burzum which really is a good thing in this world of self destruction, waste and greed. We need to remember the old ways if we are to create a sustainable future, people have this guy all wrong in my eyes, the extreme left are more of a problem than people think as they are more and more obsessed with all the wrong things.

I so wanted to like this album but after the excellent Belus it's been a steady decline in quality and seemingly effort. This latest one lack any energy or momentum. Maybe if the songs were shorter and there was more variety things would be better...

If you want shorter songs, listen to Rihanna or some similar MTV junk... or to grindcore
