A follow-up report issued by AP indicates that the Hall isn't listening to Rose's request:
The Hall said in a statement that it still plans to induct Rose with the rest of the group. "We are sorry he will not be able to accept his induction in person," it said. |

Let's face itthe original line-up GnR totally deserve to be inducted but he's after making things extremely complicated on himself by keeping the name. Either way, there's 4 other original members who will accept the award i'm sure. I assume they'll be at the ceremony anyway??? |

Almost 20 years past away from the "concert" of GnR in Israel & nothing changed...
"Concert" = "eating lots of pizza on stage after smoking something & from time too time playing some songs, sometimes forget even to press on the distortion pedal & playing all the song with clean sound..."

| The show they played in Slane in 92 was balls as well. First show of the European tour and you could tell they hadn't rehearsed with Axl. Messy, sloppy, lazy, apathetic performance for the most part. Still, a fun day in the sun! |

Axl has always had a mouth, an attitude and a misguided sense of self worth.
I have always taken what he has to say with a pinch of salt, outside of his outstanding musical prowess of course..(incidentally, he did write most of appetite and illusions along with Izzy)
That said, I think what he has written here is uncharacteristically mature, focused and sensible and will do his credibility, along with that of his 'band' the world of good.
It must be shit to be in his, or any former major star's, position when you know that you will only be remembered for past glories. Axl turned 50 this year and the rest of the Guns lads aren't far behind him. No longer 'wet behind the ears' he seems to recognise that attendance at such an 'event' would be merely an act to get yourself on the tabloids again, get the rumour mill spinning and justify the publication of an autobiography for christmas. Thankfully he seems to be past the days of requiring such shite.
Don't be surprised if that fucktard Adler steps up and takes the all the plaudits on the bands behalf. |
