this is hard to believe! Why did he wait until Dio died before doing this? You can only assume that its because the rumours about them not getting along are true, in which case this could be viewed as Viv cashing in on Dio's legacy in the most cras, insensitive kind of way.
Pity ANYONE who tries to step ito Dio's shoes to sing, he's on a hiding to nothing even if he is amazing, the fans wont buy it. |

Some of Campbells recent updates on Facebook..........
" So, I'm guessing that a couple of you won't be coming to the shows then. That's too bad, but I'm sure the rest of us will enjoy"
"Dio Diciples didn't write or record the original records. This will be the original band"
"Who knows ?; all of the dates are stilll TBD, but it would certainly be nice to take it to Ireland" |

Steel Panther randomly took him on stage to play Rainbow in the Dark and he completely winged the solo and stuff...I remember him putting the clip on I think his facebook page saying it felt good to shred again and did an alright job. So maybe it got him in the mood for it again...Who knows.
I don't really think its about the money to be honest, hes fairly loaded as it is? |

| Vivian Campbell is a great guitarist and the rest but this is bad taste even more disrespectful than getting that other little popstar Toby Jepson to front the DIO disciples. The little angels were fuck all to do with metal and Campbell distanced himself from metal a long time ago but I suppose he is no worse than most of the cunts that turned their backs when metal was on the slide who are now all back claiming metal forever - fuck the lot of them. |

This is actually an achievement. I didn't think it was possible to beat Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott or Queen without Freddy Mercury but they have managed it. It doesn't matter if you like these bands or not. It's just plain wrong.
I suppose we can now have a conversation about 'Who was Dio's best vocalist?' |
