| They found some loophole in canon law, as far as I know, and suspended the process. My plan is to write a letter to the archbishop and commit apostasy myself. |

It's amazing the amount of people I've read on other forums using the Nuremberg defence "only following orders". How people in this day and age can still try and defend them is hard to grasp.
Even one went on to say, "ah but he's a good man, doesn't deserve this". What the fuck like. |

Fuckin A.With such knowledge ,how could Brady forgive yourself for not using Smyth's head as a fucking trampoline.Brady continued in his daily duties/life with the knowledge that kids were getting hurt."Didn't have the Authority/only following orders".How can you ever forgive or trust an organisation with such attitudes. He's effectively the Church Taoiseach.I've had this shit growing up in the 80's (The unquestioning of the Church/Priest Attiitude) and never forget the Fear that was put into us ,should we dare not go to mass, meat on Friday, eat a sweet during Lent .A large portion of the population are also to blame to a certain degree for the Hypocrisy of the Church. You would never dare question the Church or the Fuckin faggots that ran it . |

| it beggars beleif how, as an organisation, the catholic church has retained influence, respect and credibility within irish society. They have proved themselves to be deceitful and perverted while forcing their false morality upon the stupid and unfortunate. If any politicians had any backbone they would call a spade a spade and say what everyone who can think for themselves is thinking. In this day and age decisions at governmental level should be made without any reference to the intolerance and opinions peddled by this sordid cult. |

Exactly. It would appear that he was involved in a criminal conspiracy to prevent justice being done in the cases of the two kids he oversaw 'swearing an oath on the bible' not to inform anyone, including their parents.
Te government have been pretty pathetic on the matter as well. |

Seen that paedophile protector on the news earlier stumble his way through a half arsed apology. Made my skin crawl.
What the truly amazies me is the amount of blinkered gobshites who are trying to stick up for scum like this. It wasn't his fault, he was only a young priest, oh, and it was the 70's..................oh, that's all right then, nothing to see here. |

| That is very good. They should be made to pay and toe the line the same as any other organisation. They have stolen as a organisation - not money but innocence - the priests should not only be expelled but arrested and let the corresponding countries deal with them in the way they see fit. |
