Poley, about 2 years ago I saw her perform at BerlinFest after supposedly sharing a dinner table with her at catering that afternoon.
The gig was the most mental and life-changing thing I had ever witnessed.
The venue was Templehoff which was one of Hitlers old airforce bases and the show was in a hanger which was jammed with well over 5,000 people. It was a sensory deprivation gig where the hanger was totally full of smoke and all you could see were these green lasers and these mad looking objects onstage. She actually looked like she was wearing a bearskin!
The lighting guy was wearing something mad and the whole thing was the most unique thing that i had ever witnessed tbh.
I believe Queens tried to bring her over to play Mandella Hall a few years ago but it cost too much just to fly over all her lights!
It was really hard to believe that it was the same girl I had met during the day. |

| I am rather envious, would absolutely love to see her. The album is keeping me going through revision for my finals. |

| Certainly a very kooky pair, The Knife. Such a very distinctive voice. You might like to try a band called Austra, if you like this sort of thing. |

That's a good call there. Perhaps you might also give Xiu Xiu a spin. |

Yes, great call! Tzar Bomba and Stridulum II are both fantastic records which I listen to regularly...both of which trump her latest one Connatus. It's a bit too straight and clean - losing out somehow in the pursuit clarity. On Connatus her vocals are too prominent to the these ears and work best whilst ebbing in and out amidst a mass of reverb. But her best stuff is amazing. |

| Thanks for the heads up on these other artists, must check them out. I'd also like to throw another name in too, Grimes has released a stunning record in this vibe, she's Canadian and was on Jools the other week, blew me away so I got her album. Vocals are out there but brilliant. |

| Visions is very addictive. Her previous albums Hallfaxa and Geidi Primes are both excellent also. |
