Think the £10 in is fair enough.
if your drinking it obviously could make a lot more fiscal sence in the long run if you sit down with a calculator etc. of course not everyone drinks.
bottom line is the difference between a gig being a fiver and a tenner is in real terms fuck all.... its more if a mental thing.
as long as its decent bands, and IDEALLY a decent sound guy im happy enough |

It's a D.I.Y. venture, it's social space for the alternative community, personally i think the door tax is fine. If people dont drink and think they are being overcharged i am sorry but were not charging people to drink we're charging people to keep the place open.
membership is 12 pounds for a year
I think its reasonable. After talking to Eoin.S about certain things it makes a lot of sense. Its something different from the same old guff you put up with going to clubs and bars. Ill be there this Friday (Beheaded//Zombified//By Any Means //Honey For Christ - £10/£ and im totally happy to pay the price and walk in with a carry out. Not only that they have other events on a regular basis like screenings and bike workshops. This place obviously provides more than just a place to see bands and people need to take advantage of such a place.
I think its easy for people just to walk in and make their judgements without knowing what all has to go on in the background to run such a place. So if anything it should be embraced, so where do I get my membership? lol |

| Can't believe anyone wouldn't think this is a deadly way of doing things, especially if you're prone to spending large amounts of money on pints of a night out. Seems to me it's often places like this that have allowed underground scenes to thrive on the continent. Fair play to all involved. |

| I don't drink, therefore I am getting ripped off any time I go to a gig in this place. |

That's nothing.
I feel ripped off every time I pay into a Complan gig.
Next Warzone gig I'm turning up with a massive plastic bottle of champagne. |

| Nah it's a great idea and judging by crowds I have seen whilst there it attracts far more people than the other gigs with similar billings are at the minute. Very good setup for the local scene. |

No, you're just not being subsidised by those gig goers that do drink. You've clearly had it too good for too long at the expense of drinkers haha |

Yep, the price is spot on for gigs when the money saved on the carry out is taken into consideration. If you don't drink then that's your problem, dry your eyes.
Looking forward to more metal gigs Warzone! |
