My first big outdoor gig too, at 15.
Didnt pay much attention to my little funhouse, FNM were savage as were G'n'R.
Missed our bus and ended up walking back to Drogheda, got picked up a mile outside it by a friends father who was out searching for us. |

20 Years..??? Oh fuck!
Was doing exams in UCD that morning and legged it early as they said the Dublin Buses stopped at 1pm. Grabbed a litre of vodka and 8 cans of Heineken which were mostly gone by the time we got to Slane. Rest of the day is a blur...remember FNM being class, GnR being terribly overblown and late (but got to sleep some of the worst of the drunkeness off) and having some sort of candid sexual dalliance with a lass from Derry in front of all and sundry...! It was this gig that made me realise that being slaughtered drunk whilst watching bands you've waited your life to see wasn't really such a clever move! Good times!  |

| The only good things about that day was Faith No More and getting wanked off in the middle of the gig ,it went all over her hand and she wiped it on my sleeve had snail marks for the rest of the day ,GNR were a bit of a let down but a good day was had |

First gig ever aswell, was 15 and a huge GN'R fan, couldnt wait for the show as soon as it was announced, bought my ticket the day they went on sale .
beautiful weather , but the wait for Axl was horrible, great day!! |

There were two 52-seaters from Leixlip. On the same one as me was one of the local priests.
The priest sat up at the front, and the journey was spent bouncing empty cans and other various items of rubbish off the back of his head. |

In fairness, that priest did actually listen to Metal, and had hair longer than most priests.
