Anyone bother with this?
I hadn't really taken any interest in these lads since Demanufacture, but Mechanize was a serious record, incredibly heavy/aggressive. Got this the other day and it's textbook. Dino/Burton have figured out they can make more cash if it's just the two of them. They are the only members credited on the inlay, drums are programmed too, and whilst they sound the same as usual, the patterns are very predictable. Bit of a letdown after really enjoying Gene Hoglan's performance on the last album. |

Have only given it a once over and I would agree that it is fairly FF by numbers. Which in itself isn't dire, but they have done it before and better.

its pretty standard fear factory alright. the odd part is an attempt at something fresh but not enough for me. The use of the drum machine makes no real difference considering the style of percussion on previous stuff. Definitely not as good as the last two.

This band has a seriously chequered back catalogue. They have some ok-to-good albums (Soul Of A New Machine, Obsolete), some great albums (Demanufacture, Archetype), and some awful albums (Digimortal, Transgression) -IMO there's never been much consistency with them ... I pretty much gave up on them after Transgression TBH.

It's solid enough, not as impressive as Mechanize but still pretty good.

Would have to agree with pretty much everything said here. It's just OK. Could be better, could be worse. I'm definitely not a fan of the programmed drums. Also, the production has left it really compressed sounding.

im a huge ff fan. I cant get into this. Too electronic in places and literally sounds just thrown together. Doesnt compare to "Mechanize" at all.
