Belfast based Bassist+Singer seeks drummer and guitarist, ideally 2 (to create a full, lush sound), to start a new Post-Metal project.
Something along the veins of Alcest, Anathema and Les Discrets, while also pulling influences from bands like Gojira, Dornenreich, Early Anathema and Type O Negative.
Age-Limit is anything from 21-30 and all positions are non-gender-specific.
So if you think this is something you'd be interested in, by all means get in touch and grab thon corpse-paint.
I'm kidding about the corpse-paint.
Maybe. |

first of all having an age range is pretty gay, but you should at least type it correctly
would a partially email based thing work for you? I'm all about shoegaze and crushingly slow doom at the moment....based in Dublin though. |

*Facepalm*
That's my fault. I was multi-tasking while writing and didn't bother to check.
Age-Limits are indeed gay, but bad experiences have taught me to avoid teenagers who think they know everything aswell as old-folk who actually know everything, but consistently make a point of letting you know this.
Dublin is a bit far, and I'd be looking to practice and gig regularly I'm afraid.
I've worked with some musicians via mail; Some phenomenal, some not so much, but either way progress was limited, so I'm afraid I'll have to pass on this occasion my friend. |

That's a shame, I think we're in a comparable headspace at the moment- I saw you ad as I was posting mine above.
How about you email me some of what you're doing anyway? I'm a pretty organised type, so doing something initially by email wouldn't lead to a low productivity situation in this case. |

Don't really have anything to E-mail man;
Been working in a studio so long I just want to try writing as a unit for once.
Also I had a peek at your ad and though I love Warning, I'm really not into PLAYING Funeral-Doom, or equally slow stuff.
I like something that I can enjoy playing and I'm afraid Root-noting at a tempo of 1bpm just doesn't get me hard.
But Good Luck, mon frere - It's tough to get together like-minded musicians on such a small island, but I really do hope you find what you're looking for. |

The young man's tendency to seek nothings from somethings....a careful perusement of my ad would reveal not just slow brooding doom, but also all sorts of different stuff... PROPER shoegaze, none of this Jesu nonsense lol Proper indie too; ah well my quest for musical brothers continues
Back to Michael Schenker Tuesday for me and my cuppa! |

Haha, just goes to show we're on completely different plains regarding what we're looking for. I'm not a massive fan of Jesu either, they're -Okay-, but "Proper" Shoegazing (like ChapterHouse) makes me want to sit underneath a bare bulb and eat digestive biscuits. I also -can't stand- Indie, if you're talking about bands like Stereolab and such.
I'm quite fond of the post-movement though, especially the European and Japanese variety. It's hefty, yet endearing. |

| I would not cast stereolab as indie..... eh well I suppose me and a computer program shall suffice, if you havent already I'd suggest checking out Lush or Ride...theyre both pretty rocking! |
