Well lads, going about replacing stock 6L6's in my Bugera 6260. Can anyone give me some guidance. I'm clueless at this lark and will be getting someone else to put them in.

The amp is, as most of ye prob know, is a clone of the Peavey 5150, and it does a fine job, to my ears anyway. I'm just wondering if I should continue with 6L6 and if so what brand, or should I try something else. Can ye explain the features, pros and cons too. I'm not into a particularly mid-dy sound at all so I'm trying to lean away from that.

Not a big fan of the Marshall sound either so tubes that are geared that way aren't for me.
Thanks

I've still got the original Ruby tubes in my 6505 but have TAD in my Marshall.

JJs get good reviews but I've read the some people find them a bit dark:

Thanx for that. Not too many variations mentioned on the thread. A good start none-the-less
