Hope you're having a good easter weekend guys,
This one was requested some time ago by one of my subscribers, it's a great song, really dig Kalmah's stuff. Have a few other covers recorded so will upload those soon.
Give it a listen!

This tune was on my to do list for a while, pretty damn complex and full off odd time signatures, which is always a fun challenge! Give it a listen!
New cover: The Contortionist - Flourish

Also, was jamming with a band who were looking for a drummer and it seems that they like me because I am their new drummer! Stylistically, they draw influence from the likes of Meshuggah, Periphery, and various others. The music is very complex like the cover and it will be an awesome new challenge for me to undertake, not only to learn difficult and interesting parts, but to write them! As Dark Stranger was saying, original music is always more interesting than covers!

Or on Youtube here(all the videos are with their old drummer): http://www.youtube.com/user/Thatsoundswhammy
Thanks guys!

Hey guys,
I've been extremely busy with exams at the moment, and my free time has been devoted to the new band I'm in, Atlantis Catastrophe. So recording videos has been impossible for me, but my exams end on friday so hopefully I'll be churning out a lot of content over the summer.
I was procrastinating from studying on sunday so I figured I'd record something quick, I learnt the piece on the spot. Barrytron's stuff is incredibly complex but very tasteful, I hope I did it justice, this was great fun to play!

Hope you enjoy.
Edit: Also, speaking of the new band, we are playing with Vile Regression and Three Hour Ceasefire on the 30th of June in Fibber Magees, should be class!

| You got some of the chops but you didn't really capture Barry's look, which is a big part of it. |

Hey guys,
Haven't posted anything in a while so figured I'd record something from band practice to show that I haven't been idle!
Here's the clip of one of our songs: Ambit and Impetus (The blasting starts around 4:00 )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlcMMZaRl_s
I recorded a few more which I will be sure to post up! The later tunes have much more strange time signatures and more interesting drumming, and given more time, I'm sure I will change them up!
Hope to see yiz at Fibbers on the 30th. https://www.facebook.com/events/415652635123179/
Hope you enjoy.

My second go at the one take challenge. The rules: someone gives you a song, you can listen to it a max of three times and then you have to record a cover, using the first and only take, this is my result. It turned out much better than the first one!
Ark - Torn

Hope you enjoy.

fuck off.
Can I ask what YOU have contributed to the forum in the last twelve months that amounted to 8 pages of interaction, positive comments and gratitude?

I enjoy seeing these style of video's personally. Anyone else on here doing metal covers or covers in general that have video's one youtube? |

Story guys,
My channel has become somewhat stagnant as of late so I figured I'd give it a bit of a once over.
I have a few ideas for some changes to the channel, some new series' and new video ideas. The main idea is to involve the audience more so it's a more immersive experience for myself and everyone watching. So I need YOUR help, you'll see in the video, I'm looking for suggestions from people about certain licks and songs etc. I would really appreciate your input.
The video is here, would be awesome if you could check it out and let me know what you think!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_7Z48sxSpA
If you have any other ideas for me with regards to videos, please hit me up here or on youtube!

I'm playing with Atlantis Catastrophe now Squigz. Been playing with them about two months now. Going well!
We're playing in Fibbers on the 30th with Vile Regression, McGalligog and co. Should be a good one. |
