Attention Irish Underground! We want to hear from Irish metal bands! I'm taking applications for the Irish Region of Molten Battle Of The Bands.
Molten Magazine in association with it's partners are launching a nationwide UK & Ireland Battle Of The Bands later this year. There will be 8 regional competitions in total across the countries and 1 winner will be be chosen from each region.
The winners from each region will then be invited to battle it out at one final show in London. This event will also include a special guest headlining band to finish the competition. The special guests will also announce the overall winner of the competition towards the end of their set.
The Molten Battle Of The Bands winner will win the following...
- One track recording in a professional studio, produced by Stefano Morabito (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Bloodshot Dawn).
- Track number 1 on 'Molten Underground Compilation' plus a two page feature in Molten Magazine.
- A professional hi-def music video, produced by Dead Parrot Productions.
- Fifty 1 colour design shirts to sell as band merch.
- A slot at SWR Festival, Portugal in 2013.
- An opening slot on a Molten sponsored UK Tour in 2013 courtesy of Chaotic Tapestry Management.
Plus more to be announced.
As well as that, one runner up from each region will also win a place on the 'Molten Underground Compilation'.
If you play in a metal band and would like to be considered for the Irish region send an e-mail to andrew @ moltenmagazine.com with a short bio, link to your website & a link to some music.
Closing date for applications will be 27/07/12
Heats will take place across Sept/Oct in multiple locations and will bear applicants in mind.
Thanks! |

Why a London final for an Irish battle of the bands? Not that I dig battle of the band stuff anyway just curious.
In the 21st century with media available at the click of a button anywhere in the world, do people still think you have to go to London to 'make it'.. |

I'd say its got a lot to do with that "Molten Magazine in association with it's partners" bit Chris. |

Hey Chris, this isn't just an Irish BOTB, it's a "nationwide UK & Ireland Battle Of The Bands". The reason for the final being held in London is simply because it's handy for the majority.
Thread title edited to clear up any confusion. |
