I can't wait to hear Zakk Wylde's tribute. Bound to be a real tear jerker.

Prague is class, jesus compared to Dublin it is certainly safer and less dodgy IMO

Prague is indeed a beautiful & very interesting place to spend a few days, you seek out what you want - now that can be the main attractions, of which there are many, or the many small art gallerys and craftshops dotted around - if you go there for a stags what do you expect to see except sleaze and dodgy people.

But in no way would I say that safer and less dodgy then Dublin, that's not true, there is a massive organised crime element in the city which is almost plainly obvious even around the main tourist areas of old and new.

Not sure about the claims that something dodgy legally is going on. Basically, a kid is dead after an incident happened at the gig, it's up to the courts to decide whether your man has any cuplability. If they do so when presented with flimsy evidence, then I'd cry foul, but there doesn't seem anything sinister or unusual at the moment.

First of all, thanks to everyone who has reached out in support of Randy and each of us in this terrible situation. It’s noted and very much appreciated.

We have been keeping our heads down and not speaking out due to the fluid nature of the situation and the constantly changing information that even we receive daily.

Within an hour things can do endless 180’s. It’s maddening to try and make heads or tails.

We’re taking the time to speak to you as it has been a significant period of time since this situation began and while nothing is immediately clear to any of us, we are not trying to keep anyone in the dark.

We have reached out and are making use of the resources we have acquired to help our brother who is still detained in Czech jail.

In the two years since, we were never notified of anything related to this incident.

Randy is our brother and we assure you, we are all staying very positive for him, working endlessly behind the scenes to provide any and all assistance possible.

The best we can do is to stay positive and continue to support our friend that we know is innocent.

We know that justice will prevail and we will continue to do our part to support our friend.

I think theres such a black and white reaction to this type of thing. The 19 year old KID was probably drunk and got out of hand. Now you have to ask yourself what security is doing at some of these events. Are they there to only protect the band or should they be trying to make sure everybody is safe as a proper security guard should be doing. Run ups and pelting people into the crowd, and thats what happens in the video, it just seems over the top and its not protecting anyone.

I saw a video of the Tool frontman choking some kid out on stage before and yes he shouldnt be there but the entitlement of it all just because you sing in a band just sickens me a bit. It started with punk and especially the hardcore punk scene, Henry Rollins etc and whilst I love that music I often question the hypocrisy involved, 'we're all brothers but you come on my stage and I'll fuck you up', its such caveman bullshit, frat boy, steroid nonsense. Security are at these events to handle these situations and unfortunately they arent heled by some real wankers in the audience but I think theres a better way to sort out someone coming onstage and thats simply fuck them out. If you allow it once then it will just continue. That said I cant help feel sorry for those involved, it looks like an accident definitely but I've seen stuff at gigs that havent been accidents and you have to question people's actions sometimes..

After the whole Dimebag situation there does seem to be a cuntish attitude from bands and security toward fans jumping on stage.
Yeah i know they shouldn't be there but you don't have to fuck them off the stage.

Been like that long before Dimebags shooting... example.. the Slayer: Live Intrusion dvd.. during one song a guy gets on stage and runs to jump into the crowd.. Tom kicks his leg and the guys goes flying down to the barrier and someone how doesn't get totally fucked up.

There's an old video of the stones playing and some fan runs on near the end.. Keith Richards cracks him with the guitar in the process... and numerous others.

Some peopel get on stage to stage dive.. others to get noticed and some to hug a band member or be a bit 'dduuudddeee' and in some cases to hurt someone.

At the end of the day, if you get up on a bands stage your doing something your not meant to be doing and if you jump off and fuck yourself up that you fault but in many cases people will try sue the venue or someone to get money. Or if bands feel threatened by you being there then they will fuck you off or get security to do so.
Not every band wants people jumping around the stage while they are playing, getting in the way, gettin caught in leads. steppin on pedals or whatever.

It sucks that this guy died but it seems more like as some people have stated.. someone trying to grab money from the 'rich rock star'.

How would this have been different 10 or more years ago before every phone had a camera on it? The basis for the prosecution seems to be the video.

Yeah, or 100 years ago before the invention of the microphone? Would metalcore singers have just wrapped normal black rope around the arms?

Being facetious, but I don't see what difference that makes - we may as well start asking how crimes were solved before they knew how to dust for fingerprints.
