The rumours had been flying around for a couple of weeks already but it's been confirmed now. New festival to take place in Eindhoven, Klokgebouw (same place as Eindhoven Metal Meeting). www.distortionfest.nl

| Eindhoven Metal Meeting is in the Effenaar isn't it? Bit weird having this in the same month as that. Plus with the similarly named 'Distortion Fest' down the road in neighbouring Belgium.. But whatever, if the line up is awesome why the hell not. |

| I heard about this recently - some group have set this up to rival EMM - must have been a bit of a falling out or something. It's probably only going to harm each other's fests in the end. |

I fail to see that logic. The bands that are playing are all touring around that time. So it's not like they are asking bands to come over specifically for that festival. Additionally EMM's line up has been very mediocre so far this year.
The group behind it are the same ones that are behind Speedfest (http://www.speedfest.nl/line-up/en/), which is the day before Distortionfest, combo tickets can be bought btw. Line up for Speedfest this year is nothing worth mentioning so far. |

Very, as said take ryanair into Eindhoven. Then the bus into the city, get to yer hotel. And when you want to go to the festival just go to the central station, take the train and go up to Eindhoven-Beukenlaan. Het Klokgebouw (one of the old philips factory buildings) is right across it pretty much. |

| Was at the same venue a few years back for Loud From The South festival - it's about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Eindhoven. |

| yeah didn't look too far, already going to eindhoven the following week, but there not a lot to do in eindhoven for the week, if i was going to head to this. |
